About us

The Pre-School Learning Center was established by Joan Godfrey in 1980 to meet the needs of children of working parents in the New Rochelle area.

The school is centrally located on Eastchester Road in St. Luke’s Church.

Since 1980 the Preschool Learning Center has offered a competitive academic curriculum consisting of math, language arts, reading, science, social & emotional life skills, music and arts & crafts. We provide programs for 2.10 year olds to 5 year olds. We have certified teachers with experience, who promote a caring, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages the success of every child. Special events include a visit from our Community Workers, a Halloween Parade, a Christmas/Hanukkah stage production and our legendary graduation show.

We have flexible schedules for working parents; half day, full day and extended hours until 6pm. Transportation is provided to and from Barnard School by the Pre-School Learning Center school bus. We also offer an After School Program for school aged children who attend New Rochelle Schools with transportation.
